Qi
Qi is Iraq’s largest e-payments company. Millions of people get paid, pay bills and send money through Qi cards and the SuperQi app.
I'm a software engineer at Qi, working across billing and acquiring (B2B collection). I build mini-apps inside SuperQi, where people find bills, manage their shops and apply for housing loans. I also work on the internal tools used behind the scenes.

Across projects, I worked with the business team to shape requirements, then agreed the technical approach with my manager, a solution architect. I collaborated with UI/UX, backend, DevOps and information security teams to carry the work forward. I also worked with the Alipay team at Ant Group and Qi's international teams in Germany and India, including payment work aligned with ISO 8583 and secure application development guided by ISO/IEC 27034.
That work spanned Tasdid+, Tasdid Merchant, Jabi+, Basmayah, Qi Hawala and other products. My contribution differed by project: I started Tasdid+ from an empty template using the design team's work, built Basmayah's front end in three days from a teammate's designs and UX specification, and developed features in Jabi+ and Tasdid Merchant. On Qi Hawala, I set up the foundation while a teammate built most of the screens. These were team efforts; each story below describes the part I owned.
