Qi Hawala
Hawala is Arabic for a money transfer. This is the SuperQi mini-app for sending one from a Qi account to a bank account.
I built the Qi Hawala mini-app inside SuperQi, from its foundation and data layer to account selection, transfer review, receipts and history.

1 screenI set up Qi Hawala in January 2024. Hawala is the Arabic word for a money transfer, and the mini-app brings that task into SuperQi. People choose a Qi account, enter the recipient's details and review the amount and fee before sending. They can then return to a receipt or look through their transfer history.
The project was put on hold because of regulatory requirements and business needs. The mini-app uses Svelte to keep its JavaScript payload small inside SuperQi.
I built the transfer journey around the choices people need to make before sending money. They select a Qi account, enter the recipient's bank details, then review the amount and fee before confirming. A receipt records the outcome, and transfer history helps them find earlier transactions.
I kept the balance hidden until someone chooses to reveal it. I also kept the form options separate from the screen components, so the available choices could change without rebuilding the flow.
